Good morning. My name is Hana. My report is about sunflowers.
A sunflower grows very fast. In one summer it can grow taller than a grown-up.
Young sunflowers turn during the day. In the morning they face east. By evening they face west. At night they turn back.
When the flower is full grown, it stops turning. It faces east every morning. Bees like warm flowers, and the morning sun keeps it warm.
The question
Choose the best answer.
Why is it useful for a full-grown sunflower to face east every morning?
- It can keep growing taller.
- It can turn back again at night.
- The morning sun warms it, and bees like warm flowers.Correct answer
- It stops the flower from turning all day.
Why “The morning sun warms it, and bees like warm flowers.” is correct
This question asks for the purpose behind a fact, which is what separates a presentation task from simple recall. The talk saves its explanation for the last sentence, so a child who has stopped concentrating will miss it entirely. Ask what the speaker said about bees, and then how that connects to facing east.
Why the other answers are wrong
- It can keep growing taller. — Fast growth is mentioned early in the talk, but it is never tied to which way the flower faces.
- It can turn back again at night. — Turning back at night is what young sunflowers do, and full-grown ones have stopped turning.
- It stops the flower from turning all day. — Stopping turning is something the talk describes, not a benefit that facing east provides.
